Finding YOU in a World That Expects You to Fit In
I’m also Geek Therapy® Certified, which means I intentionally incorporate your interests, like gaming, comics, fantasy worlds, fandoms and my personal favorites K-pop and anime, into the therapeutic process when it’s helpful.
These aren’t just hobbies; they’re often where people first learned how to cope, imagine, connect, and make sense of themselves.
For clients who’ve felt different or misunderstood, this approach can make therapy feel more natural and accessible. You don’t have to translate yourself or leave parts of you at the door, I’ll meets you where you already are.

Hi! I’m Britney
Hi! I’m Britney
As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I help adults manage anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I understand that the struggles we face aren’t always just personal, they are shaped by cultural expectations, family dynamics, and the unspoken rules of the spaces we exist in.
For second-generation immigrants and those who have always felt “different,” identity can feel even more complicated, caught between honoring external expectations and defining a path that feels authentic.
Facing the Rational and Irrational with Care
Many struggles with identity, relationships, and self-worth don’t start with you. They’re shaped by early experiences, family dynamics, and the messages you absorbed growing up. Psychodynamic therapy explores these deeper layers to help you understand how your past continues to influence your present.
This approach helps you:
-
Recognize and work through fears that hold you back
-
Understand how early relationships shape current patterns
-
Make space for emotions you were taught to suppress
Acknowledging these thoughts and feelings isn’t about creating conflict. It’s about releasing the weight of carrying them alone and moving forward with greater clarity and self-trust.
Britney is available for morning and afternoon individual therapy appointments. Britney is available for afternoon and evening individual therapy appointments, both in-person and online. They assist adults with identity conflicts, anxiety, life transitions, and culture related concerns. Their services are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. Self-pay clients only. They are under the direction and supervision of Rayvene Whatley, LPC.
Take the First Step Toward Living Your Truth
You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. Therapy provides the space, tools, and support you need to step into the life you deserve one of confidence, peace, and authenticity.
